Industrial Maintenance Technician
The industrial maintenance technician is responsible for performing mechanical maintenance of cGMP production equipment and facility equipment that directly supports product development and commercial drug manufacturing. Candidates must have 2+ years’ experience.
Other responsibilities include:
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using measuring and testing instruments.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, and power tools.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop equipment.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Must also be capable of solving most problems with minimum supervision.
- Skilled in the proper maintenance of mechanical seals, gaskets, pumps, agitators, compression machines, encapsulation machines, compactors, coating machines and other equipment used in the drug manufacturing process.
- Skilled in the proper maintenance of Facility & Utility related equipment such as HVAC, Dust collection system, Air compressor and Purified water system.
- Experienced in LO/TO procedures.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Perform work safely in accordance with site safety policies and procedures.
