Facilities and Construction Maintenance Technician

Facilities and Construction Maintenance Technician performs a variety of skilled duties, such as construction, dry wall, minor electrical, plumbing, painting, or other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining and repairing buildings and facilities.

General Responsibilities / Functions:

  • Provide knowledge for facilities and maintenance in areas such as mechanical, minor electrical work, HVAC systems, plumbing, general construction, elevators, fire safety equipment and building systems.
  • Oversees and inspects building structures to determine the need for repairs & renovations.
  • Assists maintenance with the preventative maintenance program.
  • Assures adherence to OSHA standards, federal, state, and local laws & all company policies & procedures.
  • Works closely with and inspects completed work by vendors and/or contractors.
  • Collaborates with other appropriate management staff to provide building/facility recommendations for improvement.
  • Completes all special projects associated with buildings or grounds, as requested including but is not limited to moving furniture or fixtures, changing light bulbs, hanging pictures, mirrors or white boards.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment in a clean, safe, working order.
  • Interact effectively and demonstrate a high level of cooperation.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license to pick up parts and supplies for the facility.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
